London is the best city in the world for arts.
London is home to some of the world's most prestigious art schools.
Academy of Arts, Royal College of Art, Central Saint Martins, Slade School of Fine Art, and Chelsea College of Arts.
These institutions produce a wealth of talented artists ready to make their mark on the art world. Investing in these emerging artists is a great way to support the creative industry and to get in on the ground floor of some of the most exciting new talent.
Some of the world’s highest-paid artists who have graduated from London art schools include Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, David Hockney, Anish Kapoor, and Banksy (although we know little about Banksy, it is believed he moved to London in 2000 but not apparent if he took art studies, though I felt to add him to the list)
London is an incredible place to study arts and also invest in arts.
The city is full of inspiring art and culture, and plenty of opportunities exist to explore the creative scene. From the end of the year, art school shows to the New Designers show and other leading art fairs like Frieze Art Fair, London Art Fair, Collect by Crafts Council, The Other Art Fair, Affordable Art Fair, Parallax Art Fair and many more that showcase and sell art for everyone’s needs. London also has a vibrant nightlife, with plenty of clubs, bars, and live music venues to visit.
This article came to life just in time as I picked up Evening Standard after and private evening on the last Wednesday evening. I was inspired to read an article by Anna David and Robert Dex on the data which ranks universities by subject cemented London’s reputation as a “world capital of creativity”, with the Royal Collect of Art (RCA) named as the best institution for art and design for a ninth year. At the same time, the University of the Arts London (UAL) came second.
Art Sourcing Consultancy.
This is why I help people to find the best art, from emerging to established artists, and I love working in London. Often I meet my clients in their lives where they are at a peak stage in their career and have no time to research the art market. I follow their needs, interests and budget and source the best art.
